GreenSmith aims to address the pressing issue of CO2 emissions in the iron and steel industry, which accounts for approximately 7% of global industrial CO2 emissions. By developing and implementing cutting-edge technologies, we strive to make steel production more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Our Approach

  • Innovative Technologies: We focus on developing novel technologies such as Sorption Enhanced Water-Gas Shift (SEWGS) to capture and utilize CO2 effectively.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Our project is supported by esteemed partners from various sectors, including end-users, technology suppliers, and research organizations.
  • Sustainable Practices: We emphasize recycling, efficiency improvements, and the use of alternative reductants like hydrogen to minimize our carbon footprint.
